ACNE FACIAL

This is a very indepth process specific for acne skin. We have created this because we want to help you on your journey and we are fully confident that this facial is addressing everything the acne skin needs.
With acne, it’s important to know that it’s not an overnight or one facial fixes it forever scenario.
This facial will definitely help, and you will see and feel some instant results, however, if you want acne gone long term, then consistency is key, and what you use at home.
Acne can get worse before it gets better because it will go through what’s called a “purge”. Patience is key! A skin “purge” is typically a temporary side effect and will resolve on its own within a few weeks. In the meantime, keep your skin clean and well-hydrated by using a gentle facial wash and non-comedogenic (non pore-clogging) moisturizer daily.
Also making sure make up and shampoos are also acne safe (we can advise you).
If anything in skin care embodies the phrase “it gets worse before it gets better”, it’s skin purging. But once you arrive at that “better” stage, it is the absolute best!
Although it may not feel like it at the time, skin purging is a sign of fantastic things to come—namely, stunning long-term skin health.

POST TREATMENT
Your skin may be pink or even red following your treatment – this is normal and shows us that the treatment is working! This may last from a few minutes up to 24 hours, everyone is different. For some it can feel like a mild sun or wind burn. Make sure to apply SPF protection daily. If you have sensitive skin, do not try any new product for 2-3 days post treatment.
Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications, such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen (unless prescribed by your Doctor) for 3 days post treatment.
Light Therapy is often done alongside other treatments. If you have had another treatment at the same time, please consult your therapist as the aftercare may differ.
We recommend using a mineral makeup afterwards if you feel you need it.
